House of Bruar
AGB Scotland was commissioned by the House of Bruar working alongside Architect John Hanne of Hanne McLaren Associates to build a substantial new extension and addition to House of Bruar’s ladieswear retail space. Minimal disruption to retail operations and customer experience alongside superior quality workmanship & on time delivery were critical elements of the brief. Initial exploratory works were undertaken including an investigation of existing services.
The extension was formed of a steel frame structure, concrete floor and flat roof. An exceptional retail space and experience was created by the installation of a large, centre-piece, lantern rooflight to flood the space with natural light, complementing the large windows installed in the external walls. Together with high quality internal finishes, AGB Scotland created a discerning, light and airy retail environment to encourage customers to dwell, browse, purchase goods and enjoy their experience at House of Bruar.
Externally, soft and hard landscaping areas were created to enable the extension to be incorporated seamlessly in to House of Bruar’s customer journey.
