AGB Affiliations

Our affiliations are highly important to us as they officially recognise our skills, commitment and professional capabilities.

Living Wage

AGB is proud to be an accredited Living Wage Employer. This means that every member of staff in the company earns not just the minimum wage but the real Living Wage, which is an hourly rate set independently and updated annually based on the cost of living in the UK. We believe that every member of staff deserves a Living Wage, because a fair day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay.

Investors in Young People

We are delighted to have received the Investors in Young People Award. This Award shows AGB’s commitment to the training and development of young people within our company. Our business growth plans recognise the need for a reliable pipeline of new talent, which we implement by focusing on our recruitment and retention of young people.

Perthshire Chamber of Commerce award

We were aware of the local publicity generated by the Star Chamber Awards and decided this was an ideal platform for us to promote our company and its Core Values to a wider audience.

In 2015, AGB entered two categories – Employee of the Year and Business Growth – and we were delighted to win the Business Growth Award. The evening event and winning of the award proved an excellent team-bonding exercise, as well as providing us with the local promotion and publicity we had hoped would come from this recognised business accolade.

Better Business Partnership

AGB has signed up to the Better Business Partnership, the trusted trader scheme operating in Perth & Kinross. The aim is to help traders comply with the law while improving consumer protection through a partnership approach. Each member pledges to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and to operate a customer complaints procedure, dealing with complaints promptly, fairly and in a courteous manner.

We are members of the National House Building Council (NHBC), whose Buildmark cover provides warranty and insurance protection to newly built or converted homes. Cover starts from exchange of contracts and lasts up to a maximum period of 10 years after the legal completion date.
