AGB Scotland has been engaged to sensitively upgrade and refurbish this period country house, delivering our client and design team’s vision for an improved layout, flow and enhanced connection between the living space and the idyllic garden & grounds.
The property is beautifully positioned among established, characterful trees and AGB’s scope extends to the provision of a garage, outbuildings and a greenhouse in addition to extensive refurbishment, creation of a contemporary styled extension and landscaping works. The contemporary garden room extension designed by the Architect is impressive, bathing the family living and entertaining space with light as well as providing access to the terraced entertaining space.
In addition to being engaged as the Principal Contractor delivering this project, AGB has worked in partnership with the design team to create and deliver many bespoke joinery elements for the living space including new and refurbished sash and case windows to match existing, new and refurbished shutters, custom architraves, wall panelling, shelving staircase, interior and exterior doors, panelling and custom cabinetry items. Works are progressing well and we look forward to sharing details of the completed project.

The project we are working with AGB on is a large country house & estate complete refurbishment. This includes restoration works, modernising, new kitchen, new bathrooms, new services, fitted furniture, ‘Eco’-upgrading and extending the property along with various landscape works. It’s complex, potentially stressful, there were many hurdles with the project and many detailed elements that needed to be considered. The clients of course have very high expectation for AGB to meet as this will be their dream home to live in. However, this did not deter AGB who approached the project with great enthusiasm and care to every element. Any issues on site have always been quickly resolved to everyone’s satisfaction.
Communication is key to an excellent customer service and we found AGB liberally kept us updated on the project and were never shy to ask any questions. At our weekly walk-throughs they have guided us on the progress of the project and kept us current in all issues and timescales.
Finally what clearly comes through is the pride everyone at AGB takes in the work on the project. It seems like its not just a job but a source of achievement to create an exceptional piece of Architecture and high quality dream home for the client. That, I think, is the best customer service you can get.”
