High Street Perth
AGB Scotland was contracted to restore and refurbish Perth’s oldest inhabited building in partnership with the building’s owners and Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust. 13- 17 High Street had been in such a derelict state that parts if it were uninhabited for 12 years. The building was originally the home of Perth Town Clerk, Robert Graham, was painstakingly restored by our team of skilled joiners and tradesmen, restoration included an elaborate door surround with the date 1699 featuring Graham and his wife Elspeth Cunningham.
AGB completed what has been described as ‘a stunning facelift’ including the rebuild of the external fabric of the building including re-roofing, gutters, windows and the beautiful re-harling of stonework with traditional lime render. Internally the building was restored to create a welcoming retail space and accommodation. The building is now once again a very prominent and beautiful feature of Perth’s High Street.

“It was good to be able to use a local firm of contractors on this common repairs contract on a listed tenement building comprising 2 shops and 5 flats. The standard of workmanship has been excellent. Where any problems arose, they were dealt with promptly.
I would have no hesitation recommending AGB as Allan and his team have been easy to do business with.”
“AGB worked hard and delivered a complex job overcoming tricky access issues to successfully refurbish this historic building and also greatly improve the future maintenance of the adjoining light well.”
